Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland toured a University of Toronto lab just days after announcing a transformative investment in the next generation of research leaders who will propel Canada to the forefront of global innovation.
Freeland’s visit to the Acceleration Consortium’s Matter Lab showcased the cutting-edge research and training at the lab, which received a landmark $200-million investment last year from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF).
